I have been painting with oils since I was ten. I refuse to use perspective (it represents a technical vision that I reject), and prefer bright colors. I am interested in undervalued female activities such as cooking. Many of my paintings show recipes (Paella, Gazpacho, etc.), so I call them”recipe paintings“. In Wedding Cake, however, there is no recipe: if the bride knew it, she wouldn’t eat it! The spaces where women find peace led to the Nasciturus Sweaters and Women’s Prayers series.
