Birth and shipwreck of Venus

Venus was born in the sea and reached the island of Cyprus on a shell (look for: The Birth of Venus, of S. Botticelli). If Venus went back to be born today, in a contaminated Mediterranean, the arrival of Venus to the beach would be different. Among the obstacles encountered on the way, at present Venus would have lost her shell and, with 9 luck, would have substituted it for the shell of a tin of Shell oil. Or it would be shipwrecked in tins as the Cepsa or Repsol ones. The hair of the goddess, twisty with pearls, today, would be tangled with plastic and her face would reflect fear, indignation...
