Within the undervalued female activities, I’m interested on Women’s Prayer’s. Rational education has stripped women of the comfort of magic (religion), steering them towards scientific resources (anti-anxiety medication). I protest by painting Madonnas and saints. I reproduce naive idols that used to give women vital and metaphysical support. The prayers enable women to isolate themselves (Women's Prayers series, 2014-2015) in a microcosm of peace within the idiotic macrocosm of male truth. I paint the symbols for this isolation that women can no longer find. I paint Cronopios.
